Botox ®

Botox® is the most common cosmetic procedure performed in the world. Botox Cosmetic® is a non-surgical treatment that relaxes the muscles and removes wrinkles on the face. It lasts 4 - 5 months and takes 2 -10 days to show its full effects.

It is used for removing the frown crease, Crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, down-turned mouth, neck wrinkles (turkey neck), muscle tics and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the armpits)..

Botox® is most potent for 4 hours. Since the bottles hold enough medicine for 3 -4 treatment areas, Dr. Kronberg performs this treatment on specific days. At the end of the day any remaining Botox® is thrown away. This way you always get freshly mixed Botox® on your treatment days.Botox that is saved quickly loses it’s potency.

We have found that ‘saved’ Botox® (Allergan) is not overly effective. Also,. patients who are being told that ‘their bottle’ will be kept on hand for touch-ups or their next visit should understand that it is not effective at all at this point.
